Tank cars made of composite materials for chemical cargo transportation
The tank car made of polymer composite materials is intended for transportation of bulk chemical cargo by the railways of CIS and Baltic countries with gauge width of 1520 mm.
The innovative designed boiler made of composite material essentially decreases the tank tare weight and as a sequence allows increasing the carrying capacity and the actual effective volume of transported products.
The tank car is equipped with the bogie of 18-194-1 model, that increases the time intervals between repairs up to 500 thousand km.
The car service life is minimum 30 years.
Application of composite materials makes it possible to essentially broaden the range of cargo transported. The various options of the boiler inner layer coating are possible, which allow adapting the tank for transportation of 160 types of freights.
Thus, due to a set of innovative solutions, the tank car for bulk chemical cargo transportation provides the number of competitive advantages for the carrier.
